The blast was on at the last day of the 2015 World Championship. 50 J/80 raced for the global title. ESP 783 Rayco Tabarez was able to take away the lead of ESP 1519 with Marc de Antonio. Congratulations.

This is day 3 of the World Championship of the J/80 in Kiel. The day started with 4Bfd. and increased strongly with gusts over 30 knots in the end so racing was postponed. Marc de Antonio leads the fleet by one point!

Wow this may be the best single handed skiff I have seen. I sail mountain lakes with big gusts. Looks fantastic!
The Contender is a good boat for tricky conditions. It can handle big Gusts unlike many other Skiffs. I already survived Gusts of 40 knots.
Wie schwer ist das Boot segelfertig? Hammergeile Gleiterfahrt auch ohne Fock und Spinnaker :O Wahnsinn!
Moin, danke für das Kommentar. Ja das Boot ist extra für ein Segel konstruiert. Segelfertig ist das Gewicht 83kg Rumpf + 7kg Mast + 3,5kg Schwert + 3kg Ruder + 2kg Baum + Segel bei ziemlich genau 100kg. Lässt sich deshalb super alleine handeln, sei es slippen, auf den Straßentrailer tun, Unter Persenning ranmachen...
DavidGER2355 Habe selbst ne alte Robby Jolle mit 4,2m und Rumpfgewicht 125kg. Ob man die auch in Gleiterfahrt bringt, wohl kaum :(
At 01:37 he is sometimes gliding. His nose rises and falls down again. My question: Does that mean he is a little bit to far in the back of the boat? i know that the boat is trying to glide after some speed. But it looks not very steady in the video, too much up and down. I know it is damn hard to sail, but I am learning it. So from time to time I am used to watch videos to compare sailing techniques

Elltielle eigentlich alle Boote sind mit foils nachgerüstet. Dieser auch neben einem schmaleren Schwert carbon racks und High modulus Mast mit breiten salingen
DavidGER2355 okay. Hast du deinen I14 selbst nachgerüstet bzw. nachrüsten lassen oder hast du ihn gebraucht mit allen Upgrades gekauft?
ich habe ihn glücklicherweise so gekauft. aber gerade in England aber auch hier sind die meisten boote schon sehr weit nachgerüstet, die man gebraucht kauft.
